H. Grünkorn's Kinematograaf
history
The Ghent-based Henri Grünkorn worked as a travelling cinema operator beginning in 1897. In 1902 he sold his company to the Dutch businessman Willem Fortuin, but he kept screening films himself until 1908. In 1908, H. Grünkorn's Kinematograaf was taken over by his nephew.
Grünkorn regularly shot local films that were shown during the screenings.
