history
The Apollo Theatre was one of the first permanent cinemas in the Netherlands. The theatre, which was opened in 1907 on the Spuistraat 19 in The Hague, was called the Cinematograph until 1909.
In the early years of film, the cinema appears a number of times as a producer of local films. Beginning in 1909, A. van Impelen was its general manager.
