In 1933 richtte Alex Benno de productiemaatschappij Hollandia Internationale Filmproductie op.
Toen de financiering voor De Jantjes niet lukte, nam ook Barnstijn deel aan de financiering. Dat resulteerde in de Loet C. Barnstijn-Hollandia Internationale Filmproductie. De Jantjes is de enige film die door Barnstijn-Hollandia geproduceerd is.
