Biography
A. Dickson was the stage name of Arthur Mahler. Starting in 1912, he worked as a narrator at several cinemas in The Hague, and was also a waiter and watchmaker.
In 1917 and 1918, he acted in two short feature films made by the Claxon Film Compagnie. He was also the producer and director of the first of these two films, Sorbetliefde.
In 1912 Dickson, who was then the narrator at the Empire-Bioscoop in The Hague, opened an academy for cinema narrators.
