De verkeerde zoutpot
Summary
A farmer sets out with the produce of his dairy for the market, leaving his wife and daughter alone. During the day a tramp seeks shelter at the house. Not daring to refuse, the farmer's wife tells him to go up into the loft and sleep there until he is rested. In the loft he discovers some rat poison - a powder resembling salt. Waiting till his hostess is out of the way, he steals down the ladder and empties the poison into some stew that is cooking. Unknown to him, the farmer's little girl observes his action. Later, the farmer returns, and his wife serves up the meal. She is about to add a handfull of salt when her daughter exclaims: "Why, the stranger has already added salt." Husband and wife realize what has happened. Taking a gun from the wall, the farmer declares that his visitor shall eat a plate of the stew within the next five minutes. Just as the time is up, the police put in an appearance. The tramp turns out to be an escaping convict.
