Blitz-Film Company
history
The Blitz-Film Company was founded in Amsterdam by actor Max Louis Blitz in May - June of 1918. The company supposedly had a studio on the grounds behind the IJ pavilion, on the north shore of the IJ.
After a failed attempt to produce the Dutch feature film Haar schaakzet, which is said to have been shot in June 1918 in Amsterdam, nothing more was heard from this company.
There was some discussion of a possible collaboration between Blitz-Film Company and Rembrandt Film Co. – Johan Gildemeijer was said to be involved in directing Haar schaakzet – but this plan never got off the ground.
