De blinde fotograaf

Summary

The sub-title of this short feature film is ‘A Day in the Life of a Reporter’. Although this is closely connected with the story, the director meant it mainly in ironic vein.

The film, based on a story by W.F. Hermans, does trace the experiences of a fairly uncouth yellow press journalist out for a scoop. He lands up in the confined quarters of a blind photographer, living in a world of which the audience is given a frightening picture. It becomes an absurd search for a kind of truth which must be purged of all lies.
